Jan- Feb Update

Happy new year from all at Radio Buckie and we’re delighted to be supporting the year of young people.  Last month was a really quiet month at the studio and our Oot n Aboot team visited a couple of events:

·        Our friends Elgin Ice Festival had their gala showcase on the rink based on the Plainstones in Elgin

·        For all our listeners who were Singing Kettle Fans Artie brought his new show “Artie’s Tartan Tales” to St Giles Shopping Centre in Elgin

This month Ron and Bozie took a journey down memory lane with Jane Murray from Buckie Community Choir (the recording will be available over on the website very soon.)  Oot n Aboot had another set of adventures:

·        The Arc Sessions feat Robyn Stapleton and Milnes High School Fiddlers at the Institute in Fochabers

·        The Chinese Street Theatre performance on the Plainstones in Elgin

A team of second year pupils from Milnes High school are coming in to take over Charity Chat as part of their Youth Philanthropy Scheme (YPI) with the Royal Countryside Iniative.

March is setting up to be jam packed with events:

·        8th-10th- Elgin Musical Theatre’s production of Anything Goes at Elgin Town Hall

·        14th March- Elgin Stroke Friends Tombola at the Royal British Legion, Buckie

·        31st- Arc Session feat Skeryvore and Calum McKenzie Jones at the Institute in Fochabers

The Movie Review Diaries return with the Peter Rabbit movie.  The team would like to invite our followers to join us at the Bucks4Buckie presentation on the 10th March opening at 10am in the Highfield Hall at Buckie High School and our AGM is the 14th March at the studio.
